In our journeys of faith, we rejoice and seek to serve Christ in the world
Let us not love in word or speech, but in truth and in action.

Serving our community
2PC supports a diverse group of organizations with a special emphasis on the social justice, community support, economic justice, health and wellness, international missions, and church partnerships. We show support in three ways:
We volunteer support to agencies.
We financially support community, national, and global non-profit organizations.
We share facilities with community groups and agencies. (Learn more.)
For more information or to participate in any volunteer opportunities, please contact us or our one of our community partner agencies directly.

Serving our own
Whether it’s a casserole or a ride to the doctor’s office, when one of us is in need, we at Second Presbyterian are there for each another.
Along with prayer, our church community counts on the Congregational Care Committee:
To provide meals for members following medical procedures and new babies.
To give rides to doctor appointments.
To deliver groceries.
To send cards and make visits.
If you’re a member of our 2nd Presbyterian community in need or you know of a member in need, contact us at the link below.
Gardens at work
We have two gardens on our church campus that partner with nature in fascinating ways.
Rain garden
This abundant garden in the culvert along Belmont Boulevard slows rain runoff. It features mountain mint, native grasses, Joe Pye weed and goldenrod.
Pollinator Box
Just outside the choir room, the pollinator box garden is spectacular during warm months, when it is in full bloom. It is home to coneflowers, milkweed, and achillea. These pollinator plants support bees, butterflies, and other little creatures that make the world go around.
The Environmental Stewardship Team invites you to check out these gardens that are part of our commitment to God’s creation as an Earth Care Congregation.
The rain garden, working in tandem with nature to limit rainwater runoff. Look closely at the image above, and you’ll see the profile of one of the many squirrels that call our church campus home.
The pollinator garden, blooming profusingly during summer months, outside our choir room.
Serving together
O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.
