Wisdom of the body
9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday February 28, 2026, Scarritt Bennett Center
Inspired by Christine Valters Painter's The Wisdom of the Body and led by Rev. Courtnay Veazey, this year's Women's Retreat will explore various spiritual practices that reconnect us with our body's inherent wisdom. In a shared sacred space, retreat participants will discover a Sabbath grounded in the wilderness of listening to their bodies through prayer, contemplation, creativity, and gentle movement. Come and rediscover the Holy Spirit held within the sanctuary of our bodies.
$35 per participant. Please place a check, designated "For Women's Retreat", in Sunday offering, or drop off at the office (10 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday), or mail to Second Presbyterian Church, ATTN: Susan Brantley, 3511 Belmont Blvd., Nashville, TN 37215.
Lunch 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the café on campus
Coffee and tea provided all day in the retreat space
