Opportunities to serve

Life and ministries at Second Presbyterian Church

World Central Kitchen

Hard working volunteers from all over the world serve in Ukraine to feed people in need through this organization.

WCK feeds Internally Displaced People (IDP), Ukrainians in large homeless shelters, amputees in rehabilitaion hospitals, refugees in train stations, and many, many others in places devastated by war.

Donors should specify their contributions are for Ukraine.

They are on the front lines caring care for the struggling people of wartorn Ukraine, and they need your help. A Second Presbyterian member, who leads medical missions to Ukraine, has vetted these charities and recommends them as worthy recipients of your generosity.

Help those who help them

Ukraine Volya

This organization works to improve the life and mental health of orphans. In a nation at war, small things mean a lot — a frilly blanket or a few days at summer camp. 2PC, through previous contributions, bought rechargable flashlights for use during air raids in a bomb shelter at an orphanage.

Azov Brigade

Azov Brigade is a unit of elite soldiers similar to our Army Rangers, though the Ukrainian government isn’t able to support their troops the same way the U.S. Army does. Your donations can supply things like paramedic backpacks to treat wounded on the battlefield or life-saving first aid kits for individual soldiers.

Unbroken Hospital

This 2,000-bed hospital treats all Ukrainians, both civilians and soldiers, for war-related injuries and routine medical care. This hospital was founded in the 1800s by a woman surgeon! 2PC has donated medical supplies to them.

Superhumans Hospital

This 50-bed hospital near Lviv provides state-of -he art rehabilitation for amputees including revision surgery and fitting prosthetics with microchip “brains.” Prosthetics assembled at Superhumans contain customized elements printed on 3D printers.

Pray for peace!
